catch can draws out oil and water condensation from the crankcase gasses that would otherwise be drawn into the intake manifold. This prevents oil buildup in the intake, intercooler system walls, throttle body, and intake manifold. This effectively raises the octane, can increase engine performance from cleaner inlet air, and can lower hydrocarbon emissions. The closed system prevents unwanted oil vapors from entering into the cabin. Catch can kits include everything needed for a complete installation.

This catch can installs to the firewall. Because it plumbs into the brake booster intake manifold port, this kit is compatible with all model years (RHD and LHD). It maintains the OEM closed system operation of the new (catch can-mounted) PCV valve while keeping oil and other contaminants from entering the intake manifold. Note: Because the Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, they are safe for boosted applications, so connecting to the intake manifold is permitted without a check valve.

FLUID LOCK® CATCH CANS

In 2022, Radium Engineering implemented a revolutionary design change to the 7 fluid ounce standard catch can. An inherent problem always existed with typical catch cans when not serviced regularly. The fluid contaminants will eventually leave the reservoir pouring into the air intake system causing poor engine performance. To resolve this issue, Radium created the Fluid Lock® Catch Can. This contains a patented mechanism that prevents the reservoir from overfilling and traps the collected fluids until it is emptied.
